Hello,

 I am Chris Champagne, I have been in the welding industry for 30 years now. Growing up I watched the adults around me make things with their hands. My Mother and Grandmother were accomplished Sewists. My Father and Uncles were proficient welders building anything from racecar trailers to decorative wrought iron.

I figured if they could do all of that than I could too. So, I went off to welding school and stuck in the industry for 15 years. I have built all kinds of stuff from aluminum framed awnings to Sprint cars and dragsters. Now I work as a welding instructor at the high school level.

Many years of welding would get many burns on the head or sparks in the ears. I found that every time I would look for a welding cap that I wanted they were either really cheaply made or just not available online. Knowing who and what I know I decided it was time for a change. It was time to step up and help my students and anybody else that has been struggling to find that cap, the one that says I too am tired of the burns and sparks in my ears.

So In February 2022 watching the big game on T.V. I took apart my one favorite welding cap and made patterns from it. To this day I have made numerous welding caps. Eventually finding that I can have logos and other items printed and turn that into a nice welding cap. I have made 8, 6 and 4 panel welding caps with and without bands. I like making them all but I prefer the 4 panel cap with a band.
